The shoot is over, the table is still set, and you sit back down on the pink picnic cloth to look at the colors one more time: grape green, berry red, lemon yellow, the pink-white of dragon fruit. The light is straight overhead, the shadows are sharp, and none of it wants to be softened.

So the green stone goes just under the collarbone, the wide hoops stay at the ear, and the berry-red ring and the little pearls pick up the sweet-tart in between. Warm gold is what holds four saturated colors together instead of letting them argue — which is why this reads as one look and not four separate pieces. Wear the whole thing through summer; the necklace and hoops keep going on their own once the fruit is gone.

• Raspberry Trio Crystal Ring — a row of three berry-red crystals, 4 x 3mm each, on a 4mm band.
