About
I'm Lisa Chen, founder of Stylr. I got my start making and selling handmade jewelry on Etsy — I've always been the one who fusses over how a piece looks, and I'm forever tinkering with how I stack and layer my own. After building a few businesses, I set out to make the jewelry brand I always wished existed: pieces that genuinely look like something and that you never have to take off. Every Stylr guide is grounded in public, verifiable standards rather than marketing claims — and we always tell you exactly what a piece is made of.
What Stylr stands for
- 316L surgical stainless steel and PVD gold plating — chosen because they hold up to daily wear, not just to a photo.
- Honest materials: we say "hypoallergenic," never "nickel-free," because 316L contains nickel that is bound in the alloy and rarely leaches.
- Care and sizing you can act on — grounded in public standards (EU REACH Annex XVII, ISO ring sizing, American Academy of Dermatology guidance), not marketing.
Standards we cite
Stylr guides reference public, verifiable sources: USGS Mohs Hardness Scale, EU REACH Annex XVII Entry 27 (nickel restriction), American Academy of Dermatology recommendations, and ISO 4527 / ISO 1456 plating standards.
